Where our hiring bar comes from

12+ years in devtools product and GTM inside these teams. None were sourcing clients.

Not an AI sourcing tool. Not an expert network. Something narrower.

There are two common ways to solve this problem today, and Ranked.I is neither:

Self-serve AI sourcing platforms

Tools such as hireEZ, SeekOut and Pin offer AI search, evaluation and outreach features. Your team configures the workflow and remains responsible for hiring decisions.

Expert-network shortlist services

Route your role to a network of outside experts who recommend candidates from their own contacts. You get warm introductions, but no measurable accuracy standard.

Ranked.I does one specific thing

84%agreement rate with internal engineering evaluations, on live data

We rank the "I" - the individual engineer behind the code. No black-box platforms. Just senior evaluation backed by data.

The numbers, not the hype

We don't guess. We measure our results against how your own engineering leaders evaluate talent and show the math.

Java Engineering Search 84% 84% raw agreement with the client's internal evaluation on live data (and 89% on a held-out test sample).
Data Science Search 72% 72% raw agreement (84% on held-out data), achieving strong inter-rater reliability against independent hiring labels.

In plain terms: Our ranking agrees with an experienced hiring manager just as well as two senior engineers agree with each other.

We're happy to walk you through how we do it. No other sourcing service publishes numbers like this.

Two real searches, start to finish.

Client names withheld. Every number below is the exact delivered record: raw volume, what cleared the bar, and what you received.

How it works

We'd rather tell you 5-7 days and beat it than promise 48 hours and miss it.

  1. 1

You send the role and must-have criteria.

  2. 2

We calibrate ranking criteria against your actual bar, not a generic template.

  3. 3

    You get a ranked shortlist.

We filter thousands of profiles and run all code checks - saving your HR team 100+ hours of noise.

What a shortlist looks like

Illustrative sample rows. A real delivered board includes 40 named, contactable profiles with live links, language/relocation checks, and warning flags wherever the public record is thin.

What you're actually comparing this to

A single bad senior hire costs far more than our fee in wasted salary and lost momentum.

Compared to a traditional agency fee (commonly 15-25% of first-year salary, or $22,500-$37,500 on a $150,000 engineer), a calibrated shortlist costs a fraction - and the $499 Calibration Audit lets you test our bar on one vacancy first, credited in full if you continue.

You're not paying for more resumes. You're paying for a shortlist someone with judgment has already stood behind, with accuracy shown, not claimed.

FAQ

How is this different from an AI sourcing tool I already pay for?

AI sourcing tools can search, rank and contact candidates. Your team configures the workflow and reviews the results. Ranked.I delivers a shortlist checked by a senior person, with published agreement results against client evaluations.

How is this different from an executive search / expert network?

Those route your role to outside experts recommending from their own contacts. Good for warm intros, but there's no standard way to measure how accurate the recommendations are. We calibrate against your specific bar and show you the number.

Do you work outside tech roles?

Currently we're focused on developer and data roles, where the calibration has been tested. We'd rather say that plainly than overreach.

Is my hiring budget already approved?

If it's not yet, that's worth sorting out internally before starting a search.

Ready to see if we're calibrated to your bar?

Share the role details. We’ll review your stack and get back within one business day.
